Former US Ambassador Raymond Flynn of the Holy See and Former Mayor of Boston will be honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” on Wednesday, April 2, 2013 at The Embassy of Italy. His Excellency traveled often with His Holiness, Pope John Paul II and wrote several books about his wonderful experiences with our future “Saint.”
Quote from Ambassador Raymond Flynn:
"I spoke with the Pope on numerous occasions and traveled to several countries with him, but his personal kindness to my family will be what I will always be most grateful for," Flynn said. "I was with him in Boston long before he became Pope, and was in Rome when he died."
